Shadi Mahsa and Regan O’Callaghan (from London) with Aga Piotrowska and Joanna Zdzienicka  (from Poland) are currently working together by email/Skype, sharing a series of experimental images as a way of initiating dialogue.

Shadi writes,

“The rotten, old basket was chosen as a tool, to express the old thoughts and boundaries we all have and carry with us, regardless of who we are and where we come from.”

As the two artists [Aga Piotrowska, and Joanna Zdzienicka] from Poland, were aiming to experience nature into their side of the project…

whilst Shadi and Regan decided to make series of portraits, outdoors, Shadi dressed in traditional Persian attire, and Regan in a priest’s cassock and [wearing] one of Shadi’s wigs, emphasising the morphing of both identities.

These four artists will soon come together to further their dialogue face-to-face, exploring personal metaphors, memories, and identity.
